|
The purpose of this study is to examine the Current Situation of Employment of Women with Disabilities in Korea and identify factors that affect employment. This study uses the data on the national survey on people with disabilities which was conducted in 2005. This analysis found that the employment rate and wage of women with disabilities are very low compared to those of people without a disability. Disabled women are under double discrimination(sex and disability). Using logistic regression analysis, the employment was analyzed with demographic factors, disability factors, human capital factors, labor market factors. This study will contribute to developing knowledge about disabled women’s characteristics and provide practical implications for intervention strategies related to promoting their employment.
